Island Redemption Counselling

Kirstin has a heart for walking alongside women experiencing challenges related to grief and loss, trauma, marriage, parenting, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, crises of faith and of life in general. She also has a particular passion for working with children and teens struggling with the difficulties of attachment as a result of adoption or other fractured relationships, navigating their world, owning their stories and processing life events.

Kirstin believes that understanding how we have been uniquely created in the image of God is key to healing and growth. Using a biblical and clinical approach she gently seeks to attend to the whole person as a physical, spiritual and emotional being. From this foundation clients are invited to partner with Jesus as he does what only he can in healing and the transformative work of redemption.

Kirstin attended Northwest Baptist College and Trinity Western University graduating with both a degree in Christian Counselling and in Psychology. She also holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction from NewWay Ministries and various certificates from the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioural Medicine.

Kirstin has over 25 years of experience working in professional and lay ministry settings.
